TORAJA
Toraja is one of the regions in South Sulawesi
Province, Indonesia has around 1 million people with culture and customs that
are still very well maintained today. Toraja has one unique and sacred
tradition that is a destination for foreign and domestic tourists. Solo
signaling ceremony is a traditional event that is interpreted as an improvement
in the death of someone who aims to respect and deliver spirits to the afterlife.
In this ceremony sacrificed a number of buffaloes sacrificed
according to the ability and social strata of the Toraja community so it is not

1. BUKIT MAPONGKA
Mapongka Hill is located in Ge'tengan Kec. Short, but
toraja. Precisely located around 2 km from the Makassar-Toraja axis road.
Come at the time of morning or evening to enjoy the cold air
of the mountains, if you are lucky and nature is friendly you will get a
stretch of white clouds covering the valley around the mapongka hill.
2. MARINTANG
Not far from the mapongka hill, there is a seven-level
waterfall called SARAMBU MARINTANG, where you will feel the sensation of
playing water in the river that forms a multilevel waterfall.
3.AGROWISATA PANGO-PANGO
Still in the vicinity of the Makassar Toraja axis road,
Pango-Pango agro-tourism is about 5km from the Makassar-Toraja axis road. There
are natural beauty of pine forests, cool air and white clouds in the morning.
There are also lodging facilities or can bring outdor equipment for camping.
4. BUNTU BURAKE RELIGION TOURISM OBJECT
This tourist object must be visited, because in addition to
the tallest Jesus statue in the world, here you can also enjoy the expanse of
clouds in the morning as well as the glass bridge that has just been completed
recently. So you can say this one tourist attraction is a combination of Rio de
Janeiro and glass bridges in China. The location is not far from the city of

5. GHITARI COFFEE PLANTATION

8. BUKIT SINGKI '

by two tributaries with clear river water.
13. WATERFALL BUNTU PEPASAN
As the name implies, this waterfall is located in the
dead-end district of Pepasan, North Toraja. It offers the charm of a 25 meter
high waterfall and clear river water with a fresh and calm atmosphere.
14. TINIMBAYO
One of the spots to enjoy the beauty of rice fields in
Toraja, the beauty of rice fields will feel more beautiful when the rice starts

15. TAMBOLANG
Tambolang Hill is an ancient and natural tourist attraction

Limbong is a natural pond that forms naturally in the middle

18. LOLAI "the land above the clouds"
The village located on the sesean mountain foot is located
in northern Toraja, about 15 km from the city of Rantepao. Located at an
altitude of 1500 meters above sea level. Every morning this village is shrouded
in thick fog with cold air until it returns. "The land above the
cloud" that nickname sounds suitable for this beautiful village.
But the country's nickname on the clouds is not only in the
wild, there are also some places that have the charm of clouds as beautiful as
the moon.
19. BUNTU SESEAN
Deadlock sesean / mount sesean is a place that is very
suitable for those who like to climb because here we can enjoy the natural
scenery of Toraja and also the view of white clouds like lolai. But it takes
about 2-3 hours to arrive at the dead end.
20. BATU TUMONGA
Tumonga is one of the tourist attractions that offers
beautiful scenery and cool air. Located in the sub-district of Sesean Suloara,
it can be reached in about 1 hour from the city of Ranthepao. In this place
there are facilities such as hotels, home stays, restaurants and coffee shops.
21. BUNTU SARIRA
Buntu sarira is one of the best spots to enjoy views of the
Toraja clouds. Similar to Lolai, this place is located in Makale Utara
sub-district, Toraja. It took two hours of climbing to reach this place. Buntu
sarira also keeps a variety of tales, one of which is the ERAN DI LANGI 'story
which means STAIRS TO SKY.
22. BUNTU SIKOLONG
It is located about 4km from the city of Makale, one of the
places like the lolai with views of white clouds surrounding it. Here we can
see the statue of Jesus covered in clouds.
23. LONDA
It is a cemetery or tomb, but it is different from other
graves because this tomb is located inside the cave, at the entrance there is a
wooden statue or tau-tau in the Toraja language, the statue is a statue of the
corpse which is buried there. You must know that the higher the location of the
coffin the higher the degree.
24. LEMO
Located in Tondok Lemo Located about 30 km from the city of
Makale, it can be reached one to two hours away by car or motorcycle. Here we
can see several sub-districts in Toraja and panoramic valleys with the position
